The Claddagh, Galway

This open edition Giclée print on Fine Art paper from an original pen and watercolour painting by artist Aideen Monaghan.  The print depicts a famous beauty spot on the Wild Atlantic Way.  Once a fishing village, the Claddagh is now part of Galway city, in the west of Ireland.  It is  close to the Spanish arch and the city’s bustling medieval streets.

The Claddagh sits on the banks of the river Corrib where it meets the Atlantic occean and Galway bay. The area is still known for its maritime traditions and  Galway Hookers, traditional Connemara sailing boats are often docked there.  The Claddagh is also home to seabirds and swans.

The unframed print measures 425mm x 155mm.
